My meeting with Eric Hansen

More on the cd…………

I also have two drummers on this new cd that are just incredible. I think those two guys could play anything.
Good drummers are hard to find in my opinion. I have a good friend that always says, “drummers should be felt and not heard.” I thought that was funny……..but kinda true when you think about it.

O.K. what about the producer. Oh my gosh…..last November I was chosen to perform at the Century Plaza Ballroom in Los Angeles. There were some very big names there involved in the music industry. To make a long story short, I was approached by a woman who said she had someone she wanted me to meet but I would have to go to Arizona. Well…….well………I told her that would be convenient since I lived in Arizona.

She arranged for me to meet a gentleman by the name of Eric Hansen. Eric is one of the most brilliant guitar players, phenomenal singers and amazing song writer that I have heard. He is pure talent and just about as genuine, funny and hard working as I’ve met in this business. He is extremely busy himself touring ALL over. Eric is my performance coach and inspiration. I can ask him just about anything to do with this business and he has the answer. Eric has produced many cd’s and I’m so happy to have him working on mine.
More about Eric later……….

I also love working with Jim Brady who owns the Brady Recording Studio. Jim is the master of the sound.
That man has ears that catch everything. Sometimes, I think he hears me thinking. hahaha Hope Not!
Between Jim and Eric I’m not for sure who can hear more. It’s scary. ha

Well I hope you’re getting a feel for who is on this CD. I feel very blessed to be able to work with these incredible people. They are so talented and so kind.

More later,
Tiffany Jo

My New CD and the Band!

Well, my new cd is almost done!!! I have never worked on anything so hard in my life……….except my charity.
That is so much work! More on that later.

We started on my cd in June. Even though it’s taking a long time…….it’s worth it! The band on this cd is absolutely awesome. Bill Ganz on guitar is so amazing. Bill has the Bill Ganz Western Band and he is also in The Desert Sons. These guys travel all over the United States performing. Bill was my 2nd guitar teacher and I worked with him for about 4 years. I have a picture with Bill on my website in the scrapbook.

Bill Ronstadt who plays the upright bass and rhythm guitar is phenomenal AND he’s a heck of a nice guy. Bill who is cousin to Linda Ronstadt, is one of the friendliest musicians I have met. He is talented and professional yet takes his time to visit with ya which is a little difficult to find. You’ll also find a picture of Bill and me in my scrapbook.

Gerry Ptak is one of the most genuine, talented gentleman. Gerry plays an electric bass like you’ve never heard. Gerry is so sincere. He plays ALL types of music and is in several bands. When my mom and I went for “snack runs” during recordings, Gerry would walk with us.

Boy those musicians love to drink their COKE. They drink about a gallon and then keep playin’ their instruments for another 3 hours. ha

There are even more incredible musicians on my cd and I’ll talk about them later.

Take Care,
Tiffany Jo

Cowboy Sweetheart hits #1 on the Nashville Western Chart!!!!

If you want to read some interesting music business info. and see some great artists you’ll find it all in the Power Source Magazine published in Nashville, Tennessee. I got a call in June that my recording of Patsy Montana’s Cowboy Sweetheart hit #1 on the only western chart in the nation published in Power Source Magazine.

I recorded Cowboy Sweetheart when I was 10 years old. Also, I am the youngest to ever hit #1 on the western chart.

I met a great friend at Power Source and she has been very helpful to me. You can pick up a copy of Power Source at any Barnes and Noble etc. I believe they are sold in at least 8 different chains through out the nation.

Weird Places to Yodel

I’ve had a couple people ask me lately where is the strangest place I have ever yodeled.
I will tell you the strangest place I have ever performed yodeling.
Oh about 35,000 feet in the air on American Airlines! WOW was that fun. At least until we hit an air pocket. ha
Actually, I’ve performed on several planes. The last time, people started passing money up the aisle.
That was neat.
A few months ago I performed for the pilots in the cockpit. That was BEFORE the plane took off of course.
Now a days, the pilots are locked away and you never see them until the plane lands.
So there you have it! In an airplane.

Tiffany Jo

You Want To Learn To Yodel

Learning how to yodel is easy but first you have to find that break between your natural voice and the falsetto. If you can just find that break than you are home free. The rest will come with time once you are able to make that break.
The yodel break between the natural and falsetto takes you from your natural voice tone to the higher head tone.
Work on it and let me know how you are doing.

Tiffany Jo
