WoooooHooooooo!!!!!!!!!!! We had the funnest time last night! If you like an old fashion fair with lots of rides, cotton candy, steers and pigs, 3 legged races, auctions and of course ENTERTAINMENT you have to go to the Gila County Fair!!!!
We performed 3 sets over 2 hours in the Grand Stands. There are 6,000 people in the town of Globe and I think they were ALL there! I loved, loved, loved it! We were on this huge stage out under the stars and a beautiful full moon. Those are the kind of fans you dream about. I had people up line dancing during several songs. They were such a lively crowd and seemed to love listening to us……….which makes you feel really great.
I got to see a 300 pound pig. Now that’s a BIG pig. Her name was Ester and yes she got the blue ribbon.
I saw steers, goats, lambs, guinea pigs and more. They were all in pens surrounding the grand stands where we were performing. THE animals even seemed to like the music. When I started yodeling the pigs oinked, the sheep went baaaaaaaa and and the steers moooed. hahahhaa
After performing, my little brother and I got to ride almost ALL the rides! My dad and I rode the Hammer!!! Ever done that?????? It’s a ride you won’t forget! By the end of the night, my little brother was covered in cotton candy and dirt. ha
I just really love performing at fairs! There’s something about all the crowds, noise, lights, rides, games and of course cotton candy! There’s an energy at the fairs that is hard to find anywhere else!
I would love to perform there again!
Have a great weekend,
Tiffany Jo
