Well, it’s that time of year! The Tucson Cowboy Music Round Up will be in November. Mark it on your calendars. You’ll enjoy awesome entertainers, great food and some of the best music in the world.
You can enjoy all the music during the day for free. Evening concerts are selling out so if you’d like a ticket call John Payne at 520-743-9328.
Tell him Tiffany Jo sent ya!
We’re part of the Home Ranch Hands here in Tucson. This group in responsible for putting on the Round Up every year. It takes extremely dedicated people who are willing to devote their time and energy into preserving western music. Putting on a festival is very hard work. I’ll write more about that later.
This year I’m excited to be working on fundraising for the Round Up. If you’d like to donate money or an item for our silent auction please oh please email me.
Thanks a bunch,
Tiffany Jo

Tiffany Jo fixes green corn tamales!
You want to talk about fun? We got together with some good friends and made green corn tamales today! Mom and I had never made them but our good friends, the Beck’s, came over and we learned quickly! ha
Mary Beck is an awesome cook and she brought one of her favorite recipes.
I’ve never seen so much corn, cheese and chiles! We made well over 100 and it took almost all day.
She has an awesome recipe made with corn oil instead of lard. I’ll get it from my mom and post it on the blog.
So check back soon and I’ll have it up here for ya!
Oh boy do I love green corn tamales. And, with our fresh Hatch Chiles they couldn’t be better.
Have a great day,
Tiffany Jo
Preparing Green Chiles
WOW……..Sorry I have not written the last couple days. After we peeled, cleaned and froze about 25 pounds of chiles our hands burned so badly I didn’t even want to type on the keyboard. My knuckles burned so much that I put ice on them so I could go to sleep. My mom’s hands were burning too.
Take it from Tiffany Jo…….wear gloves when you clean your chiles. I’m not quite for sure how you would do that because it would be hard to peel them with gloves on but it’s worth a try.
Yodelaeo,
Tiffany JO
Preparing Green Chiles
WOW! We brought back a 40 pound bag of green chile’s from Hatch! Boy, has this been an experience!
We gave some to friends and family, but it seems like we had a million left. My mom, dad and I have been grilling them on the bbq grill for hours and hours. I love the smell outside. It smells just like the whole town of Hatch during the Chile Festival. My mom and I have peeled and cleaned a ton of them. It was actually kind of fun. UNTIL we were through and our hands burned like they were on fire. I guess we should have worn plastic gloves.
I’ve got to run help with some more chiles!
Later,
Tiffany Jo
