I have never seen a festival like the Lincoln County Cowboy Symposium. For starters, the city of Ruidoso is absolutely beautiful! The mountains, cool air and kind folks made our visit there very memorable. The festival is huge. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to be a part of it. The yodeling exhibit on Saturday and Sunday was one of the neatest things I have been in. I am so honored to have shared the stage with such awesome yodelers. They were extraordinary! Sorry Wylie didn’t make it. I heard he fell off a horse and broke his leg. Hope he’s gettin’ better.
My nana, John and I also got to perform on several stages which was very, very neat! Thanks to my friend, Joe Baker, I got to entertain during the awards show of the Chuckwagon Jamboree. There were 3 national programs there recording including the Food Network.
Ever see a Chuckwagon Jamboree????? Unbelievable! I visited with several chuckwagon groups and got to see their wagons up close and personal. Everything on their wagons is original……..right down to their pots and pans. The awards show was amazing. They got money awards for everything from Best Beans, Potatoes,
desserts, bread and more. Then there was the BIG grand prize winner. I really respect those folks that bring their wagons thousands of miles. It looks like REALLY hard work but I’m sure they enjoy it!
Better Go For Now!
