I LOVE FISHIN”

Well, my next favorite thing to singing is FISHIN’!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just love sittin’ on a fishin’ bank in the cool mountain air with it raining. When we left Durango we went on to Cascade, CO. I got to fish every day! Of course, we always throw them back but it’s just so peaceful and cool. We were fishin’ with “garlic” worms. Ever heard of that??? Yep, they are worms that smell so much like garlic you wouldn’t believe it. Our car smelled like we had been to an italian restaurant. lol I love italian food but the garlic was just too strong. We had some pretty lucky worms that day. It started to get dark and it was raining really hard so we had to leave. But first we took the containers of worms up into the woods around the lake and let them go. Like I said………they were lucky worms. They were born and raised in buckets someplace but at least those guys had a chance to be free.
Anyway, the water in the mountain lake was so clear that we could see beautiful rainbow trout swimming by.
It’s so nice to relax.
Hope you’re havin’ a nice summer!
Stay Cool,
Tiffany Jo

We rode on the Silverton Express Rail Road!

Hi everybody,
When we left Sedona we drove on to Durango, CO and rode the Silverton Express Railroad! That is the most beautiful train ride. If you ever go you might want to ride the train up and take the bus back. We had taken the train ride a few years ago but we wanted to take my little brother on it. Well, he fell asleep on the trip up! ha We spent over 9 hours going and coming. It stopped in the little town of Silverton and that was very neat. The scenery is absolutely amazing. I took so many pictures!
Hope you are having a COOL summer!
See ya,
Tiffany Jo

Tiffany Jo WINS the 2006 Colgate Country Showdown in Sedona, Arizona

Howdy,
WE WON!!!!!! We won the 2006 Colgate Country Showdown held in Sedona, Arizona. The competition is sponsored by KAZM radio in Sedona. The Colgate Country Showdown is located in Nashville and it is the largest Country Music Talent Search in the United States. I won a beautiful Fender guitar and recording sessions at the Sweet 16 Recording Studio! Here I have been looking for a new guitar and now I have a beautiful one and it sounds so pretty. I was the youngest contestant! It was lots of fun and everyone was very nice. The owner of the station, Tom Tabback, was the mc and he is an incredible musician. He and his band performed during the evening and they were awesome! They play music from the 50′s, 60′s, 70′s and 80′s.
Now, it’s on to the state finals in Prescott, Arizona on Sept. 23rd at the Yavapi Fair Grounds at 1 p.m. Hope you can come!
Take Care,
Tiffany Jo

Tiffany JO and college

Ever tried to enroll in a school with no picture i.d.??????????????
I went to a community college to enroll in a course for this fall. They were very nice considering I”m a few years underage at 13 but I really wanted to take a class.
I have no drivers license and they kept telling me to apply to the government for a picture i.d. But, I knew the class would be full very quickly.
They said there was nothing they could do for me until I had a picture id.
That’s when my mom remembered ………..my NEW cd’s. Tiffany Jo Goin Country and Heroes, Cowgirls and Dreams. So, we took them with us and THEY WORKED as my picture id.!!!!!!!!

The process is pretty rough. I had to be interviewed by the Dean . Then I had to take 3 college assessment tests. Then I had another (long) interview by the Dean. And, now I have to do a 2 hour student orientation. ugh I was nervous about those tests but they turned out awesome.

Hope everything in your life is going great!

T.J.

SCHOOL IS OUT

Howdy everyone,

WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! School is done!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

I know that sounds “overdone” but I’m so glad. Granted I do homeschool through a virtual academy but I worked so hard this year and it’s great to have a break.

I did get to enjoy two 8th grade graduations. The Arizona Virtual Academy had a big one at the Community College and I was honored to have been asked to do the speech. They wanted to know all about my music and how I do it with my studies. It’s not easy but thank goodness for homeschool so I CAN SING AND PERFORM!!!!!!!!!!

Before we started homeschool, I had no idea how much music would be such an important part of my life. Honestly, my families decision to do homeschool had nothing to do with my singing.
In the 3rd grade the school wanted to skip me 2 years. I was also very bored.

So, we started homeschool and it’s the BEST thing in the world………at least for our family. Our homeschool group has over 200 families as members. I have so many friends! We do field trips, have get togethers and I’m part of a BIG teen group and we have a blast! Plus, we have a science coop at our house every week and I started a Girls Craft Club three years ago.

Anyway, also our homeschool group had an enormous senior/8th grade graduation and the most beautiful church. There were over 20 seniors and 15 8th graders. It was just awesome and absolutely beautiful. They did pictures, video and had a beautiful reception afterwards. There were over 600 people there!!!!!

Well enough about school. ON TO THE SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I”ve got some awesome gigs coming up but I’ll tell ya more about that later.

Take Care…………let me know what you’re doing this summer!
